
(OMH) Oduduwa Movement Hannover
We are a group of Yorubas residing in and in the vicinity of Hannover, capital city of Lower Saxony in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Our main goal is to transfer the yoruba culture and heritage here, not only for our children but also to the german people to enhance the multicultural relationship and to promote the integration of Yorubas in a so diversified society.
The History of Oduduwa Movement Hannover
The name Oduduwa Movement was brought from London to Dortmund by Mr. Ojo.
We all know that Organizations need Financial background to function.
In August 2000, Mr. Kola Alliu therefore suggested to Members in Dortmund, to move the association to Hannover. He then invited some Oduduwa children from all part of Germany to the founding of Oduduwa Movement Hannover (OMH).
People came to this Meeting from Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover and suburb. People from Hamburg attended the Meeting three or four times in Hannover and later decided to found Egbe Isedale ati Ilosiwaju Omo Yoruba in Hamburg which Oduduwa Movement Hannover fully supported. Another Member who was the Secretary of Oduduwa Movement in Dortmund, Mr.Olurotimi Oluborode attended the Meeting in Hannover twice and he is now the Secretary of Egbe Omo Oduduwa Duesseldorf e. V.
Mr Curtis Omoyajowo who was also member in Dortmund attended the Meeting in Hannover and later became the first Financial Secretary of OMH.
Oduduwa Movement was then managed by Mr. Kola Alliu and Mr. Bayo Akinyo who was then acting as Secretary and took care of the Finance of the Association.
Many People were later invited to join the Association, including Mr. Arigbabu and Mr. Osoba, who later became the first President and Vice President respectively.
The Organization was registered under the German Law in August 2002 in Hannover Court. It is non Political and non Religious.

Our Objectives are:
The Association meets every last saturday of the month and Family Meetings hold twice a Year.
Late in the Year 2002 Mr. Bayo Akinyo organized Yoruba Language Lesson for our wives and Yoruba children born in Germany.
The Yoruba lesson was so succesfull that our wives and children from Hannover presented a Yoruba Proverbs Show at the first Congress of Egbe Omo Yoruba Germany in the Year 2003 in Bielefeld.
The Assocaiation organizes Easter picnic and New Year Party every Year for the Family.
